This is our flagship Mamirauá experience: two nights staying in a secure community lodge, with hammock/ bed accommodation, regional meals, guided forest and river activities, and the chance to see some of the Amazon’s most iconic wildlife.
Alencar is a settlement inside of the Amazon and is the place where we will be staying for the days in the Amazon. No two travellers want the same Amazon experience. Whether you are travelling with friends, as a family, as a student group or as a couple, we can adapt the itinerary to your interests, budget and preferred level of adventure.
Travel deep into the Mamirauá region by boat and road, then settle into a community lodge surrounded by the Amazon’s flooded forest. Your first day combines guided walks, birdwatching, regional food and an unforgettable night-time river safari.

Safety and responsible travel
Adventure With Safety and Respect
The Amazon is wild, beautiful and powerful. Our itineraries are designed to give you an authentic adventure while respecting the forest, wildlife and local communities.
Our approach:
Local guides lead all activities
Night wildlife viewing is done by boat or canoe
Night forest walks are avoided because of jaguars and snakes
Hammocks are provided inside the lodge, not in open forest
Wildlife is observed respectfully and without disturbance
Community tourism supports local people and conservation
